Defective Drug - Zithromax (Z-Pack)

Zithromax® (Azithromycin) is a highly popular but very potent antibiotic sold by Pfizer. It is commonly know as the Z-pack. It is prescribed for treatment of mild to moderate infections and is taken as one pill per day for five days. Zithromax has been reported to cause liver damage including elevated liver enzymes, jaundice, liver failure leading to transplantation and even death.
